Why We Lost the Ashes

It was the selectors' fault, obviously. Just look at yesterday's Sydney Morning Herald - in the News Review section there's a feature about a character called Waleed Aly. As you can see from the biography that accompanies the article, Aly was born in 1978:


and before he had even reached the age of two 'he was a better than average batsman and footballer':

After such an astonishing display of early promise, it's hard to understand why the guy isn't a permanent fixture in the national team.
